I was notified recently that my entry for the international design competition at Baselworld 2016 won the Silver Award for jewelry. The massive annual jewelry and design convention is held in Basel, Switzerland. I call my entry "The Duchess," which is a rose and white gold ring featuring a large oval rhodolite garnet and almost a full carat of diamonds. You can view all the winners at this link.
In designing The Duchess, I was looking to create a blend of vintage aesthetic and nature-inspired flowing lines. Thus, the shank is patterned after a curling vine or stem, while the head is edged with milgrain and pierced with filigree scrollwork. This ring is cast in a total of four pieces: the white gold shank, the rose gold top, and white gold knots to hold the side accent diamonds. It is a showpiece of a cocktail ring, with a bold yet feminine appeal. This is a limited edition piece that will only be produced twelve times. So there will never be more than one dozen lucky ladies that own this gorgeous ring. Order yours here or shop the rest of my collection below.
